David Osula Named Beeson Exceptional Scholar at Samford

David Osula has been named one of three Beeson Exceptional Scholars at Samford University for the 2011-12 academic year.

Osula of Jasper is the son of Claude and Kehinde Osula and is a recent graduate of Walker High School.

The Beeson Exceptional Scholarships are named for the largest donors in Samford history and are the premiere scholarships available to meritorious students from the state of Alabama. Recipients have demonstrated superior scholastic ability, leadership, energy and self-reliance in extracurricular activities, including church and community. The annually renewable scholarships cover tuition, fees, room, board, books and international study.

Samford University is consistently ranked in the top tier of its peer group by U.S. News & World Report.
