Elizabeth Rosalind Parker Receives White Coat from Samford School of Pharmacy

2016 Nov 7

Elizabeth Rosalind Parker of Homewood, Alabama, was recognized during the annual White Coat Ceremony sponsored by Samford University's McWhorter School of Pharmacy.

Parker is one of 99 members of the Class of 2020 who received the symbolic white coat during the traditional ceremony that marks the beginning of their pharmacy studies. Each student selected a professional mentor to assist with the ceremony. Parker selected Dr. Sarah Worth, pharmacist and student employer (Class of 2015).

In August, the 99-member class began a four-year professional curriculum that leads to a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. The students completed two or more years of undergraduate coursework prior to entering pharmacy school.
