Jake Ackermann Receives White Coat from Samford School of Pharmacy

Jake Ackermann of Woodstock, GA was recognized during the annual White Coat Ceremony sponsored by Samford University's McWhorter School of Pharmacy (MSOP).

Ackermann is one of 119 members of the Class of 2018 who received the symbolic white coat during the traditional ceremony that marks the beginning of their pharmacy studies. Each student selected a professional mentor to assist with the ceremony. Ackermann selected Dr. Jeannie Grubbs, a pharmacist.

In August the 119-member class, which includes students from 11 states and one foreign nation, began a four-year professional curriculum that leads to a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. The students completed two or more years of undergraduate coursework prior to entering pharmacy school.
