Joshua Lay Selected as Senior Honoree at Samford University

Joshua Coleman Lay of Brierfield was one of 16 Samford University students selected as senior honorees to lead the university's 34th annual Hanging of the Green service. The traditional service ushers in the Christmas season at Samford.

Lay is a History major.He is the son of Elaine Lay.

Senior honorees are nominated by faculty and staff, and then a selection committee chooses the honorees based on leadership, scholarship, spiritual commitment and community service. The honor is one of the most coveted among senior class members, according to April Robinson, Samford's university minister who coordinates the annual service.
