The Division of Music in Samford University's School of the Arts celebrated the talents of students, and presented multiple awards and scholarships provided by generous patrons at the recent annual honors recital.

Samford University's Orlean Beeson School of Education recently held its 37th annual teacher education award ceremony to recognize the many accomplishments of the school's undergraduate teacher education students. Sixteen scholarships totaling more than $37,000 were awarded to students pursuing a career in teacher education.

Students were awarded an academic honor award based on their class standing and GPA. Medals require a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher and at least 12 GPA hours, and were awarded for the academic year 2017-18.
